Our tradition offers profound wisdom about death. When we engage in the mitzvot of caring for the dead, we uplift our own lives. Death loses its terrifying hold over us. We savor each day of life more fully. The Bay Area Jewish community is blessed to have Sinai Memorial Chapel as our funeral home. Sinai is grounded in Jewish tradition, and committed to pluralism and inclusion. Our local Chevra Kadisha (or burial society), comprised of clergy and volunteers from Kol Emeth, CBJ, PSC, and Etz Chayim, invite you to tour Sinai's beautiful building in San Francisco. The tour will last about 1 hour, followed by a study session, and finally a conversation about the future of our Chevra Kadisha. All are welcome! -
