The Men’s Havurah will present the movie “Shoshana” which is set in pre-independence Palestine (1938-1944) and is based on a true story of the Jewish Underground. This will provide an opportunity for KE men to learn about and discuss that critical period in Israeli history. 

At the start of the event, Mark Tischler will provide some brief background on the pre-state Jewish underground organizations – which is important to understand the context and setting of the movie. He’ll wrap up after the film with an “Epilogue” covering their actions in the run up to the War of Independence.

We will meet in the Community Room at Kol Emeth at 7PM on Saturday, November 8, 2025. There is no charge for attendance. We’ll provide some snacks. Please bring a liquid refreshment – hard, medium, or soft.
