Join the KE Men’s Havurah in the KE Community Room for this special Meeting and Discussion with Zack Bodner on Shabbat, December 11th at 12:15pm. We will all grab some food from the KE Kiddush lunch buffet and then bring it with us into the community room (adjoining the main sanctuary on the left side) to meet with Zack. 

Zack Bodner is the president and CEO of the Oshman Family (Palo Alto) JCC. Zack is coming to KE on Shabbat to discuss his new book, “Why Do Jewish?”. In addition to presenting a Shabbat Shiur for the congregation, Zack will have a private meeting with the KE Men’s Havurah during lunch. He will talk about his book, and respond to questions about the book and maybe other programs that he is involved in.

Zack’s book is about how to reconnect with and enhance our Jewish identity and Jewish lives. He shows how Jewish life connects with social values, culture, spirituality and religious life, community and family life, and Zionism. Zack and the JCC also produce an annual Zionism conference called Z3 whose theme is how to bring Israeli and diaspora Jews closer together, where together they envision a future for Israel and for the Diaspora.

Because we will be indoors, space will be limited to those that register in advance for this event.
