Compassion Week Mitzvah Fair

Please join us on the last day of Compassion Week Los Altos for a Mitzvah Fair at Kol Emeth! There will be community service projects for all ages. Please register using the links below.
Additionally, we are raising $2,270 to reimburse the Compassion Week organizers who purchased materials for our Mitzvah Fair, including fleece to make 15 blankets for at-risk youth, 40 pillows with pillowcases to decorate for people entering transitional housing, and 150 Science is Elementary kits to assemble. Science is Elementary is a local non-profit that makes science education fun, engaging, and accessible for children in low-income families.

- Decorating Pillow Cases for people entering transitional housing
- Making simple beaded bracelets for military veterans families
- Creating cards of care for the Veteran's Hospital
- Decorating lunch/snack bags for a food pantry
- Making no-sew fleece blankets

Come assemble Science is Elementary kits that will be distributed to children in low-income families to make science education fun, engaging, and accessible. The kits will contain books and required materials, allowing students to independently conduct the experiments.
Compassion Week Los Altos gathers volunteers of all ages and abilities for ten days of meaningful service activities September 21-29. During this inspiring event, volunteers work tirelessly to support local organizations that focus on meeting the basic needs of our neighbors year-round. With over 150 diverse projects to choose from, there’s something fun and convenient for everyone to contribute during Compassion Week 2024. Together, we can make a significant difference and spread compassion in our community.
