1:30 PM - 2:30 PM

Come join us after services (1:30 pm in the Community Room) to hear from Ran Bar-Yoshafat, a Public Diplomacy Expert and IDF Reservist who was called up to serve on October 7th.

This shiur will not be available by Zoom.

Ran Bar-Yoshafat is an attorney who previously worked in the Legal Department of the Knesset. Ran has conducted numerous speaking tours in the United States, Australia and Europe and has published two books and his third is coming out this year. He is regular panelist on Israeli TV channel 14 and has appeared on TV channels including TRT, RT, I-24. Ran serves every year between one to two months in the army reserves in combat Special Forces, and was called again to fight in Gaza on October 7th.

Ran is also an FIDF Impact Scholarship recipient and graduate. This is our second year participating in the Impact program. This four-year scholarship is awarded to former combat soldiers from low socioeconomic backgrounds, enabling them to achieve their dreams of higher education. We are honored to be offering this scholarship to Nisim Atar, a first generation college student from Morocco. Nisim is 24 years old and recently married. He served as a weapons examiner for three years, and now he attends Bar Ilan University in a special business and economics program that allows students to work while attending school. Nisim has been called up for reserve duty, and we all hope for him to return to his studies soon. He told Rabbi Booth that he is well but busy, and so moved by our support and love.

We have committed to $5,000 per year for four years, and we have raised $1,100 so far this year. Please consider supporting Nisim by clicking HERE and writing “Nisim” in the payment info section.
