Ochel Moed Jew-au
Friday, January 31, 2025 • 2 Shevat 5785
6:00 PM - 9:00 PMShaloha, and welcome to our first ever Jew-au (Jewish Luau)—Everyone is invited!
Did you know that Jewish merchants began arriving in Hawaii as early as 1850? In 1901, forty Honolulu residents formed the first Jewish Congregation of Hawaii led by Rabbi Rudolph Isaac Coffee of Oakland, California.
We are bringing the island air to KE with our Hawaiian inspired Kabbalat Shabbat, followed by our Jew-au meal and festivities. We will end the evening with an interactive hula dancing show featuring dances from Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand, Samoa, and Tonga.
