What is a Jew? In the US and perhaps around the world, we ask ourselves, and others ask us, who we are, what defines us, and what, if any, our unique role should be. Through watching, critiquing, and discussing a selection of films by Jewish American filmmakers, such as Crip Camp, The Forward: From Immigrants to Americans, and Yidl in the Middle: Growing Up Jewish in Iowa, we ponder what it means to live as and be seen as a Jew.
