Book Discussion on Climate Change for Our Year of the Trees
Sunday, December 15, 2024 • 14 Kislev 5785
11:30 AM - 1:00 PMWe're delighted to invite you to an important and eye-opening discussion on the best-selling book The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben. This will be the first of two book discussions prior to the KE Scholar in Residence weekend with world-renowned tree expert and environmental leader Professor Margaret Lowman on February 14-15. There will be a second book discussion on Lowman’s book Arbornaut on Sunday, January 12.
The December book discussion, facilitated by KE Member Holly Baral, will explore the ways that trees interact to create forest communities for sustainability. There is also a movie based on the book available on many streaming platforms for free. Our planet is in a dire climate emergency. Informing ourselves to become climate advocates depends on taking knowledge-based action. Please note that this event is aimed at adults, not young families and children.
