This session of the Salon will be devoted to learning about L’Olam Va’ed: Sustaining the Earth, Kol Emeth’s small but energetic team of volunteers. This team has been working for about 3.5 years on various climate-related projects, all connected to mitigating the degradation of our earth’s air, water, soil, seas, animals, and humans. The presenters at this Salon are Rabbi Lewis and Nechama Tamler; they are so pleased to share their passion of taking personal responsibility to guard the planet from destruction, following the words of Genesis in the opening section of the Torah. Salon guests will have the opportunity to look at a text together, hear about the activities of L’Olam Va’ed, ask questions and more. Nechama and Rabbi Lewis will use his recently published book How Precious the Ground on Which We Stand: Jewish Values that Could Save the Earth. Join L’Olam Va’ed at Redwood Grove on Sunday, April 6th
