This interactive presentation from David Selis will trace the development of the Haggadah as a material object from the earliest known manuscripts found in the Cairo Genizah, to illuminated medieval Haggadot, early modern Hebrew printing and contemporary artists’ Haggadot. We will uncover stories of scribes, artists, printers and modern Haggadot which bear witness to the Holocaust and founding of the State of Israel.
