Jewish Spirituality: Making the Days of Awe Awesome with Rabbi Booth (In Person ONLY)
The Holidays can be overwhelming and overly dense. Join Rabbi Booth for an exploration of the meaning and spirituality of the Holidays as we dive into stories, theology, and liturgy. We will look at some of the central ideas and prayers of the holiday with an open mind as we work to bring true awe into these days. Please note that Rabbi Booth's Class will only be on the first and second Wednesday.
The Poetry of the High Holidays with Miriam Schulman (In Person & On Zoom)
Piyyutim, or Jewish liturgical poems, are a key part of High Holiday services; our people have been writing them since Temple times. In this workshop, we’ll look at some traditional piyyutim and their musical settings, and then we’ll write our own piyyutim. These will be included in a handout for the congregation. No experience necessary. The Zoom link will be provided after you register.
