6:30 PM - 8:45 PMCongregation Kol EmethScroll down to register for the Rosh Hashanah Seder & Dinner—Space is limited!
A seder on Rosh Hashanah? You bet! Explore the themes of the Jewish New Year with Rabbi Booth, Rabbi Graff, Morat Derech Sarah Miller, and the Kol Emeth Education team. Share in an evening of lively conversation, lots of hands-on activities, singing, a delicious dinner, and special holiday treats. There will be specific activities for various age groups to play, learn, and connect with each other throughout the evening. Families are welcome. Young adults are welcome. Older adults are welcome. We are excited to celebrate Rosh Hashanah together as a community.
Here is how it works.
- The seder will begin at 6:30pm with Kiddush, round challah, apples and honey, and a festive meal.
- Then there will be 3 thematic sections, each inviting us into a theme of Rosh Hashanah through a variety of options (hands-on activities, texts, discussion questions, etc.) Your table or family can decide what you want to do to explore each theme.
- At the end of each section, we’ll join together for singing.
- Then we’ll conclude with Birkat Hamazon, the Grace after Meals. We expect to end around 8:45pm.
You will choose your own table and your own way to engage.
We are limiting the number of seats for the evening to ensure the best possible experience. Walk-ins will not be accommodated.
Kol Emeth’s traditional Rosh Hashanah evening service will be before the Seder, from 6:00-6:30pm in the Sanctuary. You are welcome to join for the service or just come at 6:30pm for the Seder.
We are excited to share this intergenerational entry into the High Holidays with you!
Sorry, Registration has ended.
