Jews and Broadway! It's a tale as old as America itself. We'll go through the decades of the development of Broadway focusing on the Jewish sound, music and influencers who shaped and created the trends that would carry the Musical into the future. Our talk will also feature historical clips and performances from showstopping artists.

Deborah Rosengaus, Mezzo Soprano, has performed internationally with a variety of musical ensembles in concert halls such as: Santori Hall in Tokyo, The Center for Performing Arts in Beijing with the Peoples Liberation Army Orchestra, Disney Hall with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. She has received critical acclaim for her interpretation of Jo in Mark Adamo's Little Women and was nominated for a Theater Bay Area Award for the role of Ruth in Pirates of Penzance. She's performed locally with; West Edge Opera, Lamplighters, Opera San Jose, Teatro Vision, Pocket Opera, West Bay Opera, Los Altos Stage, Island City Opera, Ars Minerva and Solo Opera. She is also a sought after lecturer and has given courses at Osher, Santa Clara University, OLLI, The San Francisco Opera Guild, Shandong University and many local JCCs and community centers.
