Covid-19 Policy at Kol Emeth (Revised March 2023)

Kol Emeth is revising its COVID-19 policy in response to the population’s changes in immunity to COVID-19. All COVID policies are subject to revision given the status of thecommunicable disease in the County and Santa Clara Department of Health directives.

At our site, indoor spaces include the administrative building, the multi-purpose room, the small sanctuary, the main sanctuary, classrooms, bathrooms, the social hall and the lobby, even when the sliding doors are open.

Summary of changes to the current COVID-19 policy:

  1. This policy now allows for closing the Sanctuary and Social Hall sliding doors for

temperature control.
2. Religious School will continue to be held outside whenever weather permits, but may
meet in smaller classroom spaces with the door closed.
3. Everyone may eat indoors.
4. Everyone may occupy any space at Kol Emeth regardless of vaccination status, unless
they have a recent COVID exposure, a positive COVID test, or are symptomatic.
5. Masking is optional but encouraged when indoors for those who are not vaccinated.
