The book is about my late Father-in-law’s experience surviving the Holocaust in Berlin. He was never in a concentration camp nor was he hidden in one place like Anne Frank. He was just a teenager but he did crazy things to survive. He lived in bombed out buildings, he posed as SS (uniform, gun and all). The story is also about us rediscovering his past, including that he had a wife that he forgot.
